IS ROSIE "PEPPY" PARKE
In the world of work, they say attitude determines
your altitude and if this is true then Rosie "Peppy"
Parke may as well have coined the saying herself. As
her nickname suggests - Peppy, as she is known on
the entertainment and promotions circuit, has the
positive attitude and incredible energy to connect
people and foster community building.
Since October 2005, Ms. Parke has been the Creative
Director/CEO of her company, Peppy Entertainment
and Promotions, LLC which specializes in event
planning and management, artist management and
development, and Public Relations services. The
signature event which Ms. Parke is mostly known for
is her own networking event –
"Caribbean Riddimz"
which occurs every 3rd Thursday at
popular venues like the Sky Club (Zanzibar on the
Waterfront) and showcases the best of DC's
independent artists, business presentations, and a
Caribbean after-party.
A
native of
Jamaica, Ms. Parke has been living in the DC
area since January 2003 and holds a Masters degree
in Management with specialization in Public
Relations and an Undergraduate degree in Business
and Professional Management. She is the Public
Relations Office for the
Jamaican Nationals Association in
Washington DC
and has worked with nonprofits such as the Institute
of Caribbean Studies, the Patsy Douglas Foundation,
and the DC Collaboratives.
